Hello everyone and welcome to the newest edition of the Whole Living Solutions website! π€
As I begin to fill each category, I hope you’ll poke around and let me know what you see that you like, what you hope to see, and what you hope to learn.
As I continue to learn about the inner workings of the website, I’m also (still) cooking up a storm; visit me on Instagram to see what’s cookin’ and stay up to date. π
I appreciate all of your patience as I continue to learn the techie side of things and as a token of my appreciation, you will want to watch for a giveaway coming around Mother’s Day!
In the month of May, I will also be starting up a fun, easy and very cost effective group(s) for those of you looking for some accountability and tips in doing a little “spring cleaning”. πΈ So be sure to stay tuned so you don’t miss out on the fun as we clean up a few things in our day-to-day busyness of life.
Speaking of busy…as many of us wrap up the school year, our calendars can fill up quickly with “end-of-year” events and the planning of summer. Here are 5 tips to help you get through this busy time:
- Cook once, eat twice!
- When you can, double the portion size of what you cook or prepare (like chicken breasts or a salad) and use it for your next meal or the next day.
- Go with your “go to’s”!
- Think of meals that you and your family love and make those. Now is not the time to try a new recipe.
- Use what you have!
- Take a quick inventory of what is in your freezer and pantry and use those items first. It will save you time from going to the grocery store and save you money.
- Meal swap!
- Share these tips with a friend. π If you’ve made a double batch of something, now you can swap with each other and not only is it something different, but you didn’t even have to cook!
- Use your resources!
- If you didn’t have time to cook at all, you already used your second meal from your batch cooking, and you have zero time…grab a fresh, hot rotisserie chicken from the store and simply add sides to it. You could add no-cook sides like a salad, fresh veggies with dip and fruit. Keep it simple and don’t stress.
Keepin’ it real,
